Folding Carton Feeding System AFS 500

Automated feeding of folding carton blanks from trays or American cases – precise, flexible and process-reliable.
Product Details
The AFS 500 feeding system is designed for the fully automated loading of folding carton blanks into a cartoning machine magazine. Folding cartons can be supplied either in cardboard trays or in standard shipping cartons (American cases).
When shipping cartons are used, the system automatically cuts the adhesive tape, opens the top and dust flaps, and prepares the cartons for blank removal in a fully automated process.
Depending on the required level of automation, cartons can be placed manually onto a buffer conveyor or automatically depalletized by a robot. A 3D vision system reliably detects the carton positions on the pallet to ensure precise handling.
Remaining packaging materials, such as intermediate layers or empty shipping cartons, are automatically transferred for disposal, either flat or stacked onto a pallet.
The cartoning magazine is equipped with an automated retaining mechanism that securely holds the final folding box blank in position and prevents it from tipping over.
The system is compatible with nearly all cartoning machines on the market and can be integrated into both new and existing production lines.
By automating the loading process, heavy lifting and ergonomically unfavorable postures during magazine loading are eliminated, significantly reducing physical strain for operators.
