Feeding of Unsorted Vials

This vial feeding system is designed for the automated unpacking of vials or plastic bottles from plastic corrugated plastic trays and their controlled transfer to rotary tables or bi-flow conveyors.

At the core of the system is a specially designed gripper that handles the corrugated plastic trays and lifts the grouped vials in bulk before placing them precisely in the infeed area of the rotary table or bi-flow conveyor.

Depending on the required level of automation, the plastic trays can either be placed manually onto a buffer conveyor or automatically depalletized by a robot. The position and orientation of the boxes on the pallet are reliably detected by a 3D vision system.

After unloading, the  plastic trays and lids are automatically separated and transferred to a designated disposal container.
